5 Things to Check When Inspecting an RV

If you are interested in buying a recreational vehicle (RV), you might want to consider buying a repo. Buying an RV repo will save you much more money than buying a new one. Having a RV repo instead of a brand new RV have no difference because most of the time they are good as new because they are repossessed mostly after just a few years, most of the time 2 to 3 years only.
You can buy RV repo from RV auctions that are open to public, but the best way to buy a RV repo is directly from the owner. By buying directly to the owner you will save some money because you cut the middleman that will add cost from the original price.
Now, if you have already decided that you want to buy a RV repo, you should make an inspection to the RV first. In inspecting the RV repo, you should check the following:
1. Exterior
In checking the exterior, look for scratches, peeling of paint, dirt and rust; if these exists, it only means that the previous owner does not took care of the RV. So, you should not buy it because you can find a better one.
2. Interior
Look for damages inside the RV, especially search if there any water damage even small damages. This water damage will cost you a lot for repair even if it is very small, so if problem like this occur, I don’t recommend it for buying.
3. Systems
Check also the generator, air conditioner and heater if it is working properly. If no signs of problem, then it is good.
4. Appliances and Fixtures
Check all the appliances if they are working properly, also check all the lights and the sink if it has hot and cold water.
5. Features
Check all the upgrades if they are in good condition.
