LDV Recovery Trucks

LDV offers a wide range of trucks that assist in recovery and emergency oriented transportation. These recovery trucks come with comfortable and safe cabins. They also have Power Assisted Steering for easy maneuvering and have manual transmission systems with no smoke 5 speed gearboxes.

LDV 400 was introduced in 2000 with a gross vehicle weight of 3500 kilograms. It has an engine of 2500cc and works on diesel. They come in two variants – one being convoy and the other being EX AA Recovery Truck Spec Lift Crew Cab which was introduced in 1994. The spectacle lift is a specialized technology introduced in recovery trucks in order to remove the casualty vehicles with speed. Trucks with spec lift provide augmented storage space for other equipment and mechanical tools that may be required to repair the vehicle.

LDV recovery e trucks also come with storage box, tail lift and winch. The operating weight is around 4100 kilograms. They have in cab entertainment options such as stereo player etc. The GVWR ranges from 9500 to 54,500lb. And the horse power ranges from 235hp to 450hp. The fuel tanks come with a capacity ranging from 50 to 75 gallons with options of dual tanks with 7.5kw to 12kw generations. They are fitted with spring up and hydraulic breaks for extra safety and control.

They have options of keyless entry. They also have roll up doors with shelving, aluminum cabinets, customized consoles, robot areas and workstations with bench seating for 3. They have kitchen areas as well in certain models with microwaves and refrigerators for extra comfort and utility. The cabins come with LED Lighting. They also have speaker phone and microphone facilities for the driver to communicate through the mobile facilitating wireless telephoning. They can be fitted with external ladders for easy mounting.

The axle has air rides and air brakes. They are well integrated in strong steel chassis making them rugged and fit for medium to heavy duty recovery. They have convenient turning torques to ensure transportation even on rough roads. They are fitted with hydraulic spring to release the stored energy as and when required.

These recovery trucks are available in the slide or flatbed option. Recently even Global Positioning Systems and Automatic Vehicle Location systems have been introduced to serve as time saving devices. They are directly connected to a computer assisted dispatch system which helps in locating the damaged vehicle by mapping or feeding the data into the locator device.

The lifting devices are equipped with shock absorbers making them safer and long lasting. They come with the wheel lift technology which is an improvement on the hook and chain technology making the recovery more efficient and quick. Some LDV recovery trucks also come with self-loader option which is a combination of wheel lift and boom. This can be used to lift light vehicles. The lifting apparatus is controlled from inside making it quick and convenient. Heavy duty trucks can also be fitted with integrated self-lift options.
